Purpose of this Unit Standard:
A learner accredited with this standard will be able to effectively utilise the skills and knowledge acquired in an administrative function where emphasis is placed on:
- Quality service to the customer and
- Efficiency of practice.
How the Learning Programme will help you
The learning programme will help you function in any and all environments where administration needs to occur. Since all workplaces need to have some sort of administration system, this learning programme will ensure that all your future communications in the office will be effective and meet the required standards.
Learning Assumed to be in Place
To successfully complete the course, the learner has to have the following learning already in place:
- NQF 1 or General Education and Training Certificate;
- Operating Computer Systems;
- Communicating and conducting interpersonal relations in industry.
Where does this Unit Standard fit in?
The unit standard is part of many qualifications, including 64829, the National Certificate in Lifting Operations. After you have completed the learning programme, you will be one step closer to completing this qualification, and will have learned valuable skills regarding the administration part of lifting, which is sometimes neglected. You will obtain and enhance communication skills, as well as understand the various communication media that you can use better.
